The car company announced today that there have been 50,000 units of the all-electric LEAF sold globally.
This makes the Nissan LEAF, the best-selling electric vehicle of all time, said Nissan.
Nissan said that cumulative miles traveled – according to the Carwings telemetry system– is “greater than the distance from the earth to the sun,” or 161,556,509 miles (260 km).
The Japanese automaker also noted that 7,000 LEAF vehicles are being driven in 17 European countries. This includes a LEAF in Spain that has racked up over 26,718 miles (43,000 km), in just a short period of time.
